Cellphones are a staple in our daily lives. From helping us to get from place to place, on the go communication, and internet capabilities its hard to imagine life without one. But what of the history of the cellphone? How did we go from only being able to use landlines to being able to talk to people all over the globe anywhere? The first modern “cellphone” came about in 1973 from Motorola, but the industry saw a giant boom with the release of blackberry phones. With its allure laying in its attraction to business men as it allowed for ease of access on the business end. A few cellphones jockeyed for leading position but in the mid to late 2000s the Apple Company pulled ahead and released cellphones while incorporating touch screen technology.
